PAPAKURA NEWS.
A most successful social and dance was held in the Papakura Picture Hall last Monday evening in aid of funds for a new Roman Catholic Church In Papakura. For this class of entertainment the attendance must have been quite a record. The stage was tastefully decorate*.- Papakura was favoured by a visit of the Misses Seresfords' Orchestra, whose playing for the dances was quite one ot the features or the evening. The fancy dance given by Miss Mavis. Morgan, Miss Myrtle Bain, and Mr. Geo.". Bassett," proved very, popular, the dancers being vociferously applauded, other excellent Items were eoirtribirted by Mr. T. C- Seaton, Mr.. Robert "McLeod. Mies Myrtle Bain. Mr.-.Lyons,- Mr.iHogan, Miss Cicely Lyons, Mr. Geo. Bassett. aud Mrs. P. Scalcttl and 'Mr. Rkirdan. The accompaniments were played by Misses Beresijford. Lyons, and Mr. T. C. Seaton-
