CHILDRENIN IN STREET TRADING.
| The by-laws of the City Council have .hitherto provided that no. boy under the age of 14 years shall trade in the streets -without a license from the council. _ At last night's meeting of the council the age was raised from 14 to 16 years. | The conditions of the license are that the child shall not be mentally or bodily unfit to trade, and that the parent or -guardian of the child has consented to the issue of the license.
