THE BIBLE AND LAND TENURES
(To the Editor/) Sir, —It is a pity there was no one in i Parliament to quote the 23rd verse of the 2oth chapter of Leviticus to Mr. Massey: "The land shall not be sold for ever, for the land is mine.' , Moses, with his redistribution of land in the jubilee years, if he were here now, would be branded by Reform as a "eonfiscator" of i property. Hoy ever, one can prove I almost anything out of the BiMe, and it ]is a, pity Mr. Massey did not devote I more time to economics. Had we never I seen the freehold (fee simple) in New I Zealand, two other things would have been missing, i.e. land speculation and (up to 1914 at least) taxation of any kind. "They never would be missed" 'by anyone who has to work for his living, —I am, etc., I ANTI-PLANET OWNERSHIP.
