BIRKENHEAD BAND.
The annual concert tendered to the rublie of Birkenbead by the Municipal Brass Band, held last evening in the Foresters' Hail, ivas very largely attended, and was thoroughly enjoyed. Mr. Albert Iladfield. representing the Borough Council iv the absence of the Mayor, mentioned that the band hoped to be in possession of a new sot of silver instruments before Christmas. The cost wouia tie £700. The programme included selections by the band, under j Bandmaster Stronjr. sonjrs by Misses Carmen. West and Hazel West. Messrs. J MoNish. .T. P. de Montalk, and lloht. Reswick, and humorous Hems by Mr. Ned Forf. The accompanists were Misses Beryl Poulton and J. McCullough.
