WARSHIP MISSISSIPPI.
HOW EXPLOSION WAS CAUSED. WASHINGTON, July 16. The Naval Court of Inquiry has issued its finding in connection with the explosion in the gun turret on the battleship Mississippi on June 12, when 44 men and three officers were killed. This is to the effect that the explosion resulted from insufficient air pressure being used in cleaning the bore of the big gun.— (Reutcr.)
