There were only 2000 at Headingley ■When the match between England and Africa OT3 resumed, to-day, due partly to the 3/ admission and partly to the South Africans' poor showing. The oppressive heat of Saturday was mitigated by a pleasant breeze. The Africans treated Tyldesley's slows with respect, but hit Macaulay, whom Tate replaced at seventy-nine, and quickly took four wickets, including Pcgler and Bknekenberg with successive balls, Carter preventing'the hat trick. There was really no exora for the Africans' batting failure, as the-wicket mc perfect The rout ibegan when Susslrind-played late to a yorker from GHligan... .. r \' Ward unluckily dragged on a wide pitched hall, and Nourse was run out through, hesitating, Hobbs throwing the wicket down. Catterall was going promisingly when he was canght behind the wicket off j Tate, and Nupen met the same fate nerfbalL
