The indication cf tram stops at nisht by "catchlite" signs, with which the City Council is experimenting, was the subject of a letter of approval by the Automobile Association to the City Council la%t nip-lit. Tiie association, however, suggested that much of the value of the lights would be lost if they were paced 15 feet above the roadway, and 10 feet was suggested as an effective and safe height. "Commenting on the letter, the tramways manager reportcl that the lights would be placed as low as was consistent with safety, and added that the whole, position would be improved when the proposed street-lighting scheme was carried out.
