PRICE OF SUGAR.

REDUCED 20/ PER TOX The Colonial Sugar Kenning Company notified a reduction in the wholesale price of sugar, starting from to-day. The amount is 20/ per ton. On March 14 the wholesale price was increased by 20/ a ton, and before that date the retail cash prices for Nos. 1 and 1A refined sugar w«re:—Per 701b bag, 23/; 351b bag, 12/6; per 121b bag, 4/6; per 61b bap, 2/3; per 41b bag, 1/6; per 2lb bag, 9d. The retail price will be fixed at a meeting of the Auckland Master Grocers' Association on Tuesday. As, however, the reduction is 7£d per 701b of eugar, it is probable the price retail will be decreased from 23/9 to 23/3.
