MANAKAU CRUISING CLUB.

Tbe nnth race for yachts and launches was held on Saturday orer the usual course. Tbe wind wns fluky from the east at the start. The yachts were sent an-ay together at 2.55. Rannet was first across the line witb Linnet close behind, followed hy Gladys, Kathleen. Elsie and Klsinore in that order. Tbe boats kept close together on the run down, but on the beat up Elsie got a good lead and ronnaed the buoy for the first round, 3b 42m 30«, Ganuet 3h 46m, Kathleen 3h 47m, Linnet 3h 50m and Gladys 3h 51m 455. Ou the run down the second time Elsie got well away, and was first to finish at 4h 34m 30s. Garinet -111 44m 455, Linnet 4h 43m 455, Kathleen 4h Jfini J 3s. Gladys 4h 57m 30s. Klsinore did not complete the course. Corrected times placed Linnet (22m 30s) nrst, Elsie is'-r) second, Gannet (Sm 30si third. Gladys (10m) fourth, Kathleen (b'm 30*) fifth.

In the launch race the boats were sent off according: to their handicap, Salome .being tirst away at 3.17",. the others beins sent off at intervals up till 3.24 J. Miss Mischief was out for the first time this season, and proved that she could travel. She was quickly in the leaa, which she maintained to the finish, th. Salome also putting in good time. The result was- Miss 'Mischief 1. Salome 2. Lily Mer-r 2, Maui 4 This is the last harbour race of the season, which will he brought to a close next Saturday with a cruising race to C'ornwalhs. Mr. A.
