MORE RINDERPEST REPORTED.
PERTH, January 1. The latest outbreak of' rinderpest is reported from Rottnest Island, to which a number of cattle were taken from an infected area on the mainland just before the first outbreak.— (A. and N.Z.) PERTH, this day. The Rinderpest Board of Control is checking all goods by the trans-Conti-nental railway to prevent the export to any eastern State of prohibited articles.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
