NOMADS B V. NAVY.

A WIN FOR THE NAVY.

At Devonport Domain od Monday a cricket match was played between the Nomads B team and the Navy, the latter winning by 42 runs on the first innings. Navy knocked up 71 runs. His Excellency Lord Jellicoe being the best batsman with 21. Nomads only made 29 runs in their first innings, and found the bowling of Woodrotfe and Nash too solid. In their second innings Navy registered 149 runs, and then declared. When stumps were drawn Nomads had compiled SI runs for three wickets.

During the afternoon Commodore Alison Beal. of H.M.s. Chatham, and the officers of the New Zealand squadron, entertained a large number of guests. A large marquee was erected alongside the pavilion, where afternoon tea was served by a smart squad ot bluejackets. The Devonport Boys' Band gave several excellent musical items.
