NEW TYPE GUN.
AMERICAN INVENTION. l_i_, ELECTRIC, 23 MILES. WASHINGTON, December 30. The 'Army Ordnance Department announces that it has perfected a gun, weighing "00,0001b, capable of hurling a projectile of 15001b 23 miles. It is of 14in. type. It is mounted on a wheeled carriage, and can be transported on railvay tracks. The gun is electrically controlled.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
