FAZACKERLEY FORTUNE.
STIX.X. ON ITS TRACK. FINANCIAL BACKING. (From Our Own Corre»i>oni_ent.> LONDON, September 24. The mysterious Fazackerley million are still attracting fortune hunters witl affiliations to that family tree ani their excitement muat be considerabh raised by the news that a London fira of financial agents has offered to pro vide any sum required to enable th< claimants of the Fazackerley million! to pursue their cause. It is stated however, that outside money ia noi required. Prospective new claimants from var ious parts of the -world, continue tc cable or write. It is now stated that the fortune, chiefly, if not wholly, is in money, the landed estates having been sold, much of them many times over. It is established that the testator. Nicholas Fazackerley, had one son and one daughter. The latter married Earl Cowper. Both pre-deeeased him, leaving no issue. Difficulties were met with owing to entail rights and the reluctance of those in possession to cooperate with tbe claimant. Several of the 70 claimants are said to have withdrawn from the circle, or are withdrawing since the recent publicity, but none of the numerous newones has yet been accepted. Four women claiming descent, have been in Preston within the past few days from America. It does not appear that any definite advance has been made towards establishing the case of the claimants, which certainly is not yet ready to go to the Courts.
