GOLDEN WEDDING.
MR. AND MRS. W. KILLIP. The fiftieth anniversary of the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. W. Killip was celebrated last Saturday at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Ernest Green, Victoria Crescent, Newmarket. The couple came to Auckland from Liverpool by the ship Jessie Osborne in 1876 and settled in Parnell, where they still make their home. They have three sons and two daughters living in Auckland, one son in Hamilton, also 16 grandchildren. The family gathering was a very pleasant affair. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the tables laden with good things. Congratulatory telegrams were received from many absent friends, and toasts to the bride and bridegroom of 50 years brought most happy responses from both. One of the guests was a cousin of Mrs. Killip's, Miss Wynne, from St. Catherine's, Ontario, Canada.
