PROGRAMME FOR CARNIVAL. ! At a meeting of the general committee s of the " Back to Tauranga"" carnival '' week. Mr. B. C. Bobbins was appointed 1 secretary. It was decided that the ' carnival" be held in February. 1924, and that tlto Minister of Public Works be asked to arrange for the official opening . of the railway bridge at Tauranga at ' that time, if possible. A programme ' was submitted, providing for eompeti- ' tious for Bay of Plenty bands and fire brigades, processions, aquatic and athletic sports, harbour excursions, and ' numerous indoor and outdoor amuse- f ments.
