WAIKAREAO'S ESTUARY.
LOAX PROPOSAL CARRIED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TAURANGA, Tuesday. A poll of ratepayers of the Utumoetai special rating area was taken to-day on a proposal to raise a loan of f 12,700 for the construction of a stone-faced embankment and a ferro-concrete bridge across the Waikareao Estuary in order to give connection between the Borough of Tauranga and Otumoetai. The proposal was carried by 37 votes to G.
