There were curious scenes at Canterbury Cathedral during the filming of the murder of Thomas a'Becket. Large crowds assembled in the cloisters to see armoured knights rush into the cathedral gateway in order to assassinate the archbishop, who was played by Sir F. Benson.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
