NEW MUNICIPAL BUILDING.

OPENED AT DARGAVILLE. (B.t lelpgraph.—Own Correspondent.} DARGAVILLE, Wednesday. The new municipal building, a handsome two-storey structure built of brick and concrete at a cost of £10,000, was oflicially opened by the Mayor, Mr. R. E. Hornblow, to-day. The building provides accommodation for the usual municipal oflices and library and women's rest room. Mr. T. C. <V"ebb, on 'behalf of the library trustees, handed the Mayor & cheque for £860, being the proceeds of the sale of the old library site in Victoria Street. Other speakers who addressed the gathering were Mr. V. Trounson, county chairman, Mr. A. Bartley, architect, and Rev. R. A. Gosnell, who unveiled the roll of honour erected in memory of the men from the district killed in the Great War.
