BUTTER MARKET VERY DULL

The butter market is very dull, with little demand for colonial owing to hea\*y supplies of Panish, which are offering at about 154/, and also increasing arrivals from France, Holland, and Ireland. The total imports for May were 541,000cwt. New Zealand choicest is quoted: Salted 152/ to 154/, unsalted 154/ to 150/; Australian, 144/ to 146/. Very little choicest is offering. Secondary Australian is quoted at 130/ to 130/. (Jheese on spot is scarce. Xew Zealand white is quoted at 90/ to 02/, coloured 00/ but 114,(iOO crates are due to arrive at the week-end, for which the importers arc asking 82/ to 86/. The Australian is practically cleared at 82/ to 84/.—(A. and N.Z. fable.)
