WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP.
A WIN _*O_C ANDERSON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Wednesday. The wrestling contest for the heavyweight catch-as-catch-ean championship of _ew Zealand, to-night, between Alex. Andenon (0.0.7), of IPalmerston North, and T. Kara (15.0), of Hawke's Bay, was won by the former, despite the fact tbat hls opponent was over four stone heavier. The contest was mostly In Anderson's favour, who gained two successive pin falls, the first after 68 minutes, and the second after 11 ""U-jtgs. Kara gave up at the second fall. Tennant Colledge (10.7), of Auckland, and Bob Decleene (10.3), of Palmerston North, wrestled a draw after 30 minutes, neither Moring a fall. The amateurs, C. C. McDonald (10.4!). of Turakina, and amateur champion of Scotland, and Dave Pointon (10.10), of Hawke's Bay, gave a. brilliant ««play, McDonald securing one fall in five rounds.
