Harris gave notice of intention to introduce a bill giving the Auckland Harbour Board .permission to transfer an area at Bayswater to the Borough Council for the purposes of boating slifhlb, swimming baths, social hall or similar purposes. The area is over a quarter of an acre in extent, and consists of partly reclaimed land. The Council will have no right of access by sea. It has power to lease the land to any sports club. Adjacent there is another Bmall piece of land, which it is proposed to convey to the Council.
