WREATH OX UNKNOWN SOLDIER'S GRAVE. LONDON, March 29. The High Commissioner returned this morning from France, where he had been to jParis on 'behalf of the New Zealand *>oveniment to, sign a protocol modifying Article 5 of the Air Convention. -In • company with M. Hurst-Seafer, he . also visited the studio of M. Desrellee, 1 the French Sculptor, to whom has been entrusted the New Zealand war memorial at Le Qucsnoy, and Sir James Allen expresses himself as highly pleased ■with its progress,. It will be ready about Msiy or June. The 'High Commissioner considers it a work at once beautiful, impressive and unique. He thanked the artist not only for the fine artistic work, "bat also for , his kindly generosity in associating himself with Mr. A. R/Fraser, the Xew Zealand sculptor, who has been responsible for some of the work connected with it. ■ JL De3relles is also engaged on a memorial to be set .up >by. the inhabitants of Le Quesnoy to those who died during the assault on their town. It consists of a large statue of a woman •with hands outstretched, of somewhat the same character as the figure of the Xew Zealand memorial.
