A meeting: of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held this I chair, when matters concerning the Metro* politan Winter Exhibition, which is to be held on Central wharf, from Tuesday to Saturday, July 17 to July 21, were discussed. The Department of Agriculture wrote regretting the impossibility of sending a display from Ruakura Farm to the exhibition, and it was doubtful event whether it would be able to get together a display for the Waikato Show. It was necided to make a further effort to secure an pxhlbit from Ruakura. A deputation was received from the Onehunsa Poultry Club, which asked that the club be provided space for a display at the Association's exhibition. The idea of a side-show was not favoured at all; tbey *" be PS ?Dd parcel of * he would be from 1000 to 1500 exhibits. The matter was referred to the space committee Ito see what provision could be made for such a display. Mr. Hunt attended on behalf of the Kennel Club, to ask for space lor an exhibition of dogs of the "toy" variety. It was asked that this be run as a side-show, and the Kennel Club would be willing to pay the Association 33J per cent of the takings of this separate display, to which a charge would be made for admission. Mr. Hunt j mentioned that among the exhibits would be a Pomeranian for which £300 had been refused, and tivo Pekinese terriers for whi h an offer of £150 each had been turner! down. This application was also referred to the space committee, which will meet as soon as possible to consider it. A request for a 00 feet frontage for ft Forestry display, and one from th<» 1 New Zealand Flying School for space for lan aviation and engineering display wore J also referred to the space committee.
