CONSCRIPTION IN FRANCE.
EIGHTEEN MONTHS' TERM. 24 YEARS IN RESERVE. PARIS, April 4. The new French army law requires that all able-bodied men must serve 18 months in the army, and will also be held liable for front-line service for a further two years. They must serve in the first reserve for lfl years and in the second for eight years. The age of entry is 10.— (A. and N.Z. table.)
