Feeling in regard to the Norfolk farm strike is becoming more bitter. Band-3 i of strikers armed with sticks are patrolling the northern area and singing the. j "Red Flag." The farmers have obtained police protection, while many are carrying shotguns. Intimidation of labourers continues. On one farm a band of i over 200 ordered the men to cease work and chased them across a field. Policemen are now accompanying the strikers. | One farmer, declining to withdraw bis j labourers, offered to settle the argument by a bout of fisticuffs with any single striker, declaring be was willing | to back himself at twenty to one. When j the challenge was not accepted he placed | a five-pound note in a box the men car- j ried for subscriptions for the relief of their children. The strikers then with- | drew.- (A. and X.Z.
