LOAN FALLING DUE. £240,000,000 BEFORE END OF JUNE. SYDNEY, March 27. The Act ing- Premier of New Soxith Wales, Mr. C. W. Oakes, declares that New South Wales will have to renew or repay loans this year totalling £10,000,000 and nearly £30,000,000 in 1025. Including the other States of Australia* £240,000.000 will have to be paid or renewed before the end of 1925." The rate of interest payable will be higher than existing rates, consequently the burden on the taxpayer will be greater. He favours the Commonwealth and States acting in conjunction in dealing with loans.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
