DEFENCE OF GALLIPOLI.
BRITISH PREPARATIONS. LIGHT RAILWAY LINES. (Received 11.30 n.nu LONDON, March 26. A "Times" correspondent who has just left Gallipoli writes that light railways are being thrown out in all directions from the camps where 15,000 British troops are stationed across the plain. From Kelia the railway runs across the Peninsula to Anzac Beach. Tf hostilities were started Anzac would become the base. Work on the cemeteries, which was held up for a time owing to the Greeks' flight, has been re-started with Italian and Russian labour. Five permanent cemeteries in the Anzac area have been ebm.'pleted with the exception of the headstones. — ("Times.")
