Stanley and llentlnck Streets.—Mrs. 11. L. Hoffmann wrote the Board intimating that Bile was deslroun of the above streets being taken over by the Board. Hallway Matters.- A letter was received from the Aroudahs Borough Council In reference to the proposed conference of local bodies on the northern suburban line, at which it Is Intended to discuss the present railway services, with it view to an Improvement being obtained. The invitation was accepted, and Messrs. Thoin and I.awson were appointed as the Hoard's official dele gateH.

Northcote Itoad.—Messrs. K. Thomas unci J. Wilson communicated with the Hoard In respect to tbe volume of water thut is diverted from TUinuiKl Htmd to Nortbhall Hoad. This wus referred to as a nuisance, and the Board was asked to effect an Improvement by increasing the capacity of Its drain pipes. Referred to Workß Committee.

Lynwood Hoad.—A letter was received from Mr. .1. Murrell '-ailing the Board's uttmtlon to (he unsatisfactory condition of a pi.rtli.n of the above road. It was reported that the part of the road referred to was under the control nf the Wuitemata County Council, aud the writer was referred to that body.

Main lloads.—Mr. V'airbnm wroto the Board re the condition of the Great North Koad from the Whati Bridge to the Avondale I'osl ORlce, which, of course, is under the control of the Avondale Borough Council. The writer reminded the Board that they recently contributed towards the cost of renovating thin road, and that, in his opinion. Hie maintenance from that date had not been satinfactory, which was against the interests of the New Lynn ratepayers. The matter was left in the hands of the Finance Committee. Buildings.—Permits totalling £2TOO were Issued during the past fortnight. Sub-divisions.—The Board sanctioned sub-divisions on hchalf of Messrs. 11. Todd, .7. Hunter, and D. Marden.
