He was accompanied c by the Hon. C. J- Parr. Great enthui- siasm greeted his entry on the platform. l- The Mayor (Mr. R. Coulter) presided. The Premier's address was on the lines of those delivered previously. It was not long after starting that Mr. Massey was subjected to many interjections, 6ome continuing periodically until the conclusion of the meeting. At the con--3 elusion of the meeting Mr. Massey apn '' pealed for support of Mr. Macmillan as » being the candidate chosen at the ex- ' press wish of the late Sir William g Hcrries. This met with cries of "Cut 'j out the sob stuff, Bill; we respect him." i A vote of thanks and confidence in the | Massey administration was carried by c . acclamation, intermingled with cheers j for Sir Joseph Ward.
