REPRIEVE" FOR OLD AIRSHIPS
NEW SCHEME TO BE LAUNCHED

The "Sunday Express" states that it has strong authority for stating that the Committee of Imperial Defence will decide to reprieve the airships and will ask Cabinet to inaugurate an Empire scheme. Experiments in England have proved that aeroplanes can be launched from and return to airships with perfect safety. New craft will be constructed and experiments will be carried out. with old airships recently ordered to be scrapped, on the ground of. economy.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
