MR. MASSEY'S TAURANGA RECEPTION
There has been some controversy over the telegram f rom Tauranga statin' that Mr Massey was received on his arrival there by 2000 people. Thf _ "Herald" complains that it has been wrongly blamed for the statement, whereas the messaffe was a Press Association wire published in all the New Zealand | .per.. The explanation seems to be that the 200.0 was a telegraphic error lor 200, which apparently was •somewhere near the number who listened to Mr. Massey's address from the hotel balcony after his arrival.
