, (By TdteSTapto.—Press Association.) \ WHANGAREI, this day. i After a protracted spell of fine weather ; heavy rain set in last night, gradually spreading over the whole of the north, and accompanied by stormy conditions. Indications point t6 a continuance of . unsettled weather. Heavy rain at Waipu yesterday afternoon caused the annual show to be carried out under difficulty, although the attendance did not materially suffer. After a dry spell the rain rendered the clay roads difficult, and caused a general exodus. An extremely large number'of visiting motor • oars were presen>from a wide surrounding area, and, apart from the discomfort I caused by the rain, the show was a pronounced success.
