A SAD CASE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) . HAMILTON, this day. A sad case was mentioned to theAVaikato Hospital Board by Dr. Gower j (surgeon superintendent). There was,' he said, a particularly poor family in the j district. Two of the children were , suffering from hereditary creeping paralysis and quite beyond cure* They were at present in the hospital, but were suffering no pain, and, as beds were badly needed, he suggested that the children should be sent home and the board i grant an allowance for medical expenses.' After some discussion this course was. adopted. The board agreed to allow £1 a week.
