BACON CURING.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAJLATANE, this day. As the outcome of a meeting of Rangitaiki fanners at Riversleigh a deputation waited on the director, of the Whakatane Freezing Works yesterday,' and urged the company to go in for bacon curing as well as killing of pigs for export. After the deputation withdrew the directors decided to go in for the curing as well as the killing of pigs, and take pigs for killing right away, i and hold them in the cool store pend-j ing arrangements for caring. |
