LABOUR DRAWS OUT. AN OFFICIAL DECISION, The Auckland Labour Representation Committee, which has the power to select a candidate for the Tauranga seat, rendered vacant by the death of Sir William Herries, met last evening, and decided not to put forward a. candidate. It is stated that the party is of opinion that they have little chance of success, and, therefore, it would not he in their interests to contest the election. MR. ADNAMS WITHDRAWS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAURANGA, this day. Mr. W. D. Adnams, Independent Beform candidate, has ■wired to Mr. MaoMillan withdrawing his candidature for the Tauranga seat and wishing him luck.
