WATERSIDERS' BAND.
SECEDE FROM THE UNION. (By Telegraph—Trees Association.) WELLINGTON", Wednesday. A sequel to the impounding of the Waterside Workers' Band instruments by bailiffs is the accession of the band from the Waterside Workers' Union. A new band will be formed, and fehe Harbour Board will be asked to allow it to call itself the Wellington Harbour Board Brass Band, following the precedent of the Geelong Harbour Trust Band. The incident at Dunedin, when the instruments were seized for debt, was not the result, it is claimed, of anything the band had done, and through it they 'have lost instruments, music, and uniforms. As the band had met with some success the members want to keep it alive. They will now start a campaign to raise £1000 for equapment.-
