THE MISSING PURSER.
SEARCH UNSUCCESSFUL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. No trace has been found of the missing assistant purser of the ferry VVahine, Mr. R. "fcashley, who left the vessel on Saturday saying he was going to get his i hair cut and see the son. On Tues- I day, and again yesterday, thirtyeight members of the steamer Maori with Lyttelton policemen formed a j search party. After exploring underneath I all the wharves and jetties the party j divided, one section going down harbour to Corsair Bay, where the domain was ! thoroughly searched, and the other went in the direction of Sumner. Xo clue ■ whatever was found of the missing man. j
