The concert, arranged by the Auckland Rugby League in aid of the fund that is being raised to send Hadfield to Australia to row Paddon for the championship title of the world, which was held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall la-,t evening, attracted a good attendance, and all were delighted with the excellence of the programme provided, the jyarious performers having to respond to encores. It is an'icipated that as the result of the concert, the fund will benefit, appreciably, but the exac'. amount will not 1« known until all the returns are obtained from those who had generously offered to .-.ell tickets.
