BURGLARY AT HAMILTON.
GOODS SCATTERED ABOUT. CASH BOX RIFLED. (By Telegraph.—Own CorressonSent) HAMILTON, this day. Between eight and ten o'clock last night the premises of Mr. R. W. Lauchlan. dealer in electrical fittings, Collingwood Street, were broken into and * quantity of goods was stolen. On his way home about ten o'clock Mr. J. Hodtripped against an electric iron lying on the footpath near the store, the window of which lie noticed was broken. He immediately communicated with thfl police, who, on investigation, found that the back door had been forced and that the cash box had been broken open ana a few shillings stolon. The place had been turned practically upside down, and goods were scattered about everywhere. The quantity of goods taken does vd\ appear to be very great.
