ABERCORN IN BELFAST.
ENTHUSIASTIC WELCOME, (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, February 2C. The Duke of Abercorn's State entn into Belfast was marred by bad weather The Lord Mayor and corporation pre sented the Duke with a key of the city At Stormont Castle, where the Duke o: Abercorn is Sir James Craig's guest, th< keenest interest was displayed in thii first State entry. Five miles of rout< were decorated and lined by troops anc police.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) The Governor, escorted by armouret ears, mounted police, and field artillery alighted at Ulster Hall, the artillery firing a salute of nineteen guns. Sh James Craig and members of the Cabinet were welcomed by the Duke of Abercorr amidst remarkable enthusiasm. Loya addresses were presented by 115 publi 'bodies. Replying, the Duke of Abercorn sai< the gathering was a proof that the Nort) was devoting itself to the fulfilment o duty with age-old capacity and deter mination. He would convey to Hi Majesty the King the ineffaceable impres sion the gathering had made on him. Three thousand people attended tin Lord Mayor's reception.— (A. and N.Z.
