MAIL CAR BOLTS.
THROWN IHTO A CREEK. DRIVER AND PASSENGER INJURED. (Br Teleeraoh.— PMM AtMdatlMJ WELLINGTON, this day. The Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department received * meaeage yesterday afternoon from the postmaster at Tarawera reporting an aeeident to the mail car employed en the Napier-Taupo eervice. Three miles south of Turawera the steerijig gear collapsed, and the car was precipitated into a creek. There were three passengers in the car. The driver and one passenger, an elderly lady, are reported to be seriously injured. The Hawke's Bay Motor Company Iβ, sending a relief car with a doctor to the ecene of the accident.
