VISITING BOWLERS.
tjUEENSLANDERS AT WELLINGTON
(By Telegraph..—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday.
The Queensland howlers, who arrived to-day, were formally welcomed at tine Town Hall, where a large and representative gathering assembled at one civic reception. The Hon. J. G. Goates represented the Government. Mr. Meadowcroft, the president of the Wellington Bowling Centre, extended a hearty welcome to the viiisitoiß.
Mr. Archibald, the president of the Queensland Association, expressed appreciation at the cordial nature of the reception accorded them. Two years ago he had the pleasure of welcoming a team of New Zealand bowlers, who had extracted from him a promise that he would bring a Queensland team to New Zealand. He was glad to redeem that promise and had brought a tine lot of bowlers.
