Heavy prime steers £8 12/6 to £9 15/. medium £7 10/ to £8 10/. light £8 5/ to £7 7/6; plain and unfinished steers, £4 10/ to £6; heavy prime cojvs and heifers £-5 5/ to £7, medium and light £3 15/ to £5- other cows, £2 to £3 10/; extra choice oxen, to 25/ per 1001b: choice and prime oxen. 19/ to 24/ per 1001b: rough and inferior oxen, 14/ to 18/; yOunsr cow and heifer beef. 17/ to £1 2/; other cow beef, 12/ to 16/. Calves were penned in averare numbers, selling at scarcely late quotations. Alfred Buckland and Sons, Ltd., report:— Yesterday at our weekly Westfleld fat stock market our supply of beef totalled 026 head, comprising 372 steers, 147 cows and heifers, and 7 bulls.
