MAINTENANCE CASE.
All application for maintenance whier presented rather unusiiaj features rami before Mr. -T. K. Wilson S.M., to-day. Tin wife of \\ . Hagen applied for separatior and maintenance on the ground of allegei cruelty. Mr. 11. Knnor represented tin applicant, and Mr. Fleming the husband who opposed the application and denie< having HltroeteU his wife. The partiei had been married twenty-live years, ant there were four children. Mrs. Ilagei .-.aid she had loft her home, having beei ordered out liy her husband. When sin wa< asked by counsel why she did no sick a divorce if certain allegations six made could be proved. Mr*. Hajrei replied: "1 read the Bible, and therefor d.i not Ixlieve in divorce." The com plaint was that, her husband was toi friendly with a certain girl. Mr. Wilson held that legal cruelty ha< been establish***], an order fo separation, and niaintinancc at the rat of £Z 10/ per we.'k. to date from th time the wife left her home. Costs, thre guineas, were allowed.
