Miss Claire Sheridan, the sculptress, who recently cabled an alleged interview with Rudyard Kipling to the "New York World,"' in which she made the author responsible for remarks derogatory to America's work in the war and the peace, telegraphs to the London l.abour paper, the "Daily Herald" from Constantinople, stating that she told Mr. Kipling that she was writing for the "Xew York World." He did not say he was talking confidentially. "I regret he objects to the publication of his views," she added. "No doubt (quoting from one of Kipling's poems) 'the female of the species aTe more deadly than the I male.' " —(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
