Members of the Roard of Health's committee on venereal diseases arrive in Auckland to-morrow to hear evidence in this city. Members of the committee who have left for Auckland are: The , Hon. AY. F. Mr. Kramer is the chairman nf the Taranaki Hospital Board, and is the representative of the hospital boards on the Board of Health. Lady Luko arrived in Auckland this mornins, also tlie official secretary. Mr. C. .7. Drake. It is understood that a good deal of medical evidence will he placed before the committee in Auok-i land, and that it will bo of a particu-( I'irlv interesting nature, impresing upon the public the gravity of the. problem. The committee are most anxious that all possible evidence bearint on this matter will he placed before them, and welcome any information. At Wellington, where the sittings opened, the chairman mnde an appeal to the public or any interested persons to come forward with a:iy evidence that would assist the committee. Tlie proceedings are open to 1 I the Press and public. It must lie understood, however, that if a"\- witnesses desir» to deliver their • evidence in camera the committee will respect their wi*h. All the evidence taken in Wellington, however, was heard in open sittings. It is anticipated that the committee will sit ill Auckland tomoTow and Friday, and will leave that evening for the South. Tlie committee also expects to sit in Christehureli and in Dunedin.
