An Aucklander who has a correspondent in Alberta, Canada, received a letter from him by yesterday's mail, in the course of which he speaks of the rapid growth of the wireless phone in his | district. 'Wireless phones," writes the correspondent, "are all the go here now. Timber companies make a speciality of supplying 38-foot masts for installations, and newspapers send out wireless concerts every day and night. Aery many people who do not think of owning a Ford, have a wireless mast m their yard. The radio supply is getting to be a huge business," etc. He then goes on to urge his friend to get into the business, as he says "there is lots of money in it." In the interview with Mr. A. S. Trowers on forfeited holdings, which appeared in last night's issue, one point ] was omitted, namely, the proposal to j replace the revenue lost by reducing I the income tax to a flat rate" by imposi ing a sales or turn-over tax on the lines so successful in Canada.
