BURGLARY AT NEW LYNN.
ROOMS RANSACKED WBUJE OCCXTPANTS SLEEP. ABORT £25 STOLEN". The residence of Mr. Ohas. Gardner, New Lynn, was burglariously entered 3ast night or early this morning, and about £25 in money was stolen. It appears that Mr. Gardner is suffering from pneumonia, and is being attended to by a nurse, whom Mrs. Gardner relieved for a rest last evening. The latter occupied another room in the house. «nd was up several times during the night, but did not hear or see anyone about the place. A lady named Mies Afeford was abo staying with Mrs. Gardner. About 6.30 this morning it •was foTind that the back door was open, and that the rooms occupied by Mrs. Gardner and Miss Atford had been ransacked, and the money had been etolen.
