NEW AIRSHIP FUEL.
LONDON, July 2. Vickers and Co. announce that experiments under the direction of Commander Burney have overcome danger from fire on airships by means of an engine burning a mixture of paraffin oil and hydrogen. The ..flashpoint of the fuel is raised from forty degrees to 220. The new engine also reduces the cost of fuel by twothirds. It will be used by the Imperial service if the Government approve the scheme.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
