KUROW'S ROUGH VOYAGE.
The steamer Kurow. _.1J23 tuns (('apt. Flynn), arrived at Auckland this morning front Newcastle after a particularly stormy voyage, which occupied 7_ days. Leaving Newcastle at 2 p.m. on June !) the steamer experienced two days of very heavy easterly swells, following which she ran into a succession of easterly and north-easterly gales uf cyclonic character and great violence, causing the vessel to pitch and toss very badly. Tier decks woe continually awash and she was labouring heavily until passing Cape Brett, but after that an improvement took place as the steamer came more and more into the lee uf tbe land. A mtmber of steam pipe casings were torn up on the deck by the. force uf the seas, and some of the timber nets were washed out uf position and lodged amongst the winches, which bad a very rusty appear-
aui-e. Tbe captain said that the vessel weathered tbe storm very well iv such abnormal weather, which for two days was accompanied by great downpours of rain. There is on board a shipment of c-oal. about .1800 tuns, and about 133 tuns of hardwood, and a small quantity uf coke, which will be discharged at tinCentral wharf.
